LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD
As Video Graphics Artist at Warner Bros. Production Sound & Video, I joined the project after filming had begun to help develop the film’s extensive screen graphics. I created practical displays for the MTA, FBI command centers, F-35 jet interfaces, hacker systems, phones, and other on-set technology, ensuring each element felt authentic and functional within the story.
During post-production, I expanded this work to include narrative-driven graphics that played a central role in the storytelling. This included designing and animating sequences that advanced the plot, as well as contributing to the film’s opening title sequence. We designed and animated all of the graphics, shot them practically off screens, and then edited the results into the final sequence, blending in-world technology with cinematic design.
The project demanded flexibility across both production and post, with graphics serving as both environmental texture and core storytelling tools. From hacker systems to military tech, every screen contributed to the fast-paced, high-stakes world of Live Free or Die Hard.
